Well, I went in to get a hair cut today and started talking about this and that with my barber. I've been going to him for a long time now, so he knows who I am. Anyway, as I get off the chair and reach for my wallet, my shirt comes up and he points at my pocket and says, "Hey, can I see your knife?" So I say sure (I was carrying a Kershaw Chive; didn't feel like taking anything big around today) and I open it. He'd never seen a Speed Safe knife before so we spent like 5 minutes talking about it. Right before I was about to leave, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a fully serrated Endura and says, "This is what I carry." It looks like I have another person to talk knives with! :D

It looks like both you and your barber has good taste in knives, and it's always good to find another "knife person".:).

I'm sure the stitches were impressive! ;)

I just couldn't resist! :D

Great story!

My USPS guy is turning into a KNIFE NUT!!! He started out with a WANNABE Spyderco immitation. He recently bought an AFCK. Every time I speek to him, I can tell he's been reading, studying and planing! He's got it BAAAAD!!! I can see a custom in his NEAR future :D

A visit to a real barber shop and a chance to talk knives too. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!

None of those fru-fru Custom Cut places for me. Give me a real barber that finishes off the cut with a straight razor! :D

M2C,
Here is StLouis, you need to go to Ralph's on The Hill! Ralph is the man!
