I just got back Saturday, from Wyoming. What a beautiful state. The family and I went Hiking in the Grand Teton National Park & Yellowstone National Park, we went white water rafting on the Snake River, horse back riding, and alot of wildlife watching. I'm sorry too say I did not see any bears or wolves. I think I found my retirement spot ;)

Here are afew of our photos

Gorgeous photo's I love the country out there, I will be in Montana for alot of August and cannot wait.

I lived in Wyoming for 24 years, will make it back there some day. I know the areas around where you went and your right it is beautiful. I've never seen a wild wolf(never looked for them), but hunted the Grand Teton area and have seen a lot of bears and a few mt. lions from a safe range.

Jackson, Wyoming is IMHO one of the most gorgeous places in the U.S. Ouray, CO and the surrounding area is also incredible.

Beautiful, beautiful country. Those are some great wildlife shots too! i wish more of America looked like that still.

I saved the best for last. I used my tracking skills that I learned on my Tom Brown's advance survival & tracking course and tracked down BigFoot. Here is a photo of him with my son.

All of these photos would not be possible with out a trip to Jackson Hole's finest Beer & spirts store :D

Myakka,

Gorgeous pictures, thanks for sharing. I copied and saved the one of the river down in the valley between the rock walls.

Are you sure that's Bigfoot with your son? It reminds me of a picture of one of our forum brothers (I'M NOT SAYING WHICH ONE).

Thank you for the terrific pictorial tour of the old west. Love the Rocky mountains. Climbed Electric Peak back in the day while visiting Yellowstone.

I will be your neighbor when you and I retire in that neck of the woods.

I like Cody, Wyoming. Buffalo Bill Cody was the Elvis of his day. Cody, & other cams: http://www.codywy.org/webcam.htm

Great pics, we swapped spots. I left here, (ID a couple of hours outside Yellowstone) and headed down to Clearwater to harass your fish last week. We had a great time and caught plenty. That is a wonderful photo of the grand canyon of yellowstone. I have photographed it many times and not gotten it right. Glad you had a nice trip.

One of the most beautiful unspoiled places in the world. It is hard to go home after being on a trip like that.

Great photographs and wonderful memories. One should never ever forget to take time off and enjoy the splendor of the outdoors. We all need to relax and let off some steam! Some folk keep telling me that they will take a vacation and then they just elect to work more on the job, even to the point of taking work home. What good is your money when you retire if you are too exhausted to enjoy it? What good is a battle mistress if your arms no longer have the strength to wield it?
