I snagged both of these recently. The Ken Coats green linen shawdow jack is a special order knife Ken made up special for me using a shield I mailed him to put on it. That shield was made for me years ago by Dirk Potgieter, AKA Oupa on the forums. I love this knife. Superbly built and just what I wanted. 3 and 7/8" closed, half stop, no nail nick, and super snap to a blade shape I had done at my request which I really like. Oh and not to forget the plucker feature as Ken calls it which is the easy open part in the folder to get the blade out nice and easy of course. I can't speak highly enough about this 2 ounce pocket pal flush closed, half stopped and open, thin and basically sharp and hard as they come at 62 Rc and ATS34.

Now to the Case Hunter Trapper model. I gotta tell ya, if this was not so heavy at 4.9 ounces I'd probably carry it all the time. Its the best Case I have ever bought and came functionally as flawless as anything I've bought or handled in custom or production my whole life. Your own portable butcher shop right here in the hand basically with a nice bone saw, gut hook and the sharpest blade from the factory I've ever bought from Case Manufacturing. Love it! I especially love the orange G10. I thought it really set the knife on fire and when I saw it I had to have it. Not sure if the main blade is CV. I believe it is because its not marked SS but nothing in the paper work to indicate that so I am left wondering. If its CV then its the perfect Case in my book!

Anyway these two is my faves, both world class all the way! Show me yours.

Thanks for looking.

Nice knives.

I really like the blade shape and the shield on the Coats.

And the Case really appeals to the practical tool-lover in me. :D

Ken builds a good slippie, here is one of my favorites of his that I own.

Ken makes a heck of a nice knife. This "Texas Jack" in D2 is one of my favorites:

Of course this Kissing Crane Copperhead is a close third even though it is made in China. Mine is even nicer looking than this one, but I have not yet took a picture of it.

Great pics. I have one of those Coats Shawdow Toothpicks also. Great knives. I've carried it quite a bit also. It was my first Coats folder.
