Here is my Uncle Sadao in Afghanistan. He served in Vietnam, and now works for the Army Corp of Engineers. I guess for his last blast of sorts, he volunteered to go help rebuild Afghanistan. Right now he is helping build barracks. You can see the 140HSSR that I gave him on his belt...I gave it to him before he left. My aunt told me that she thinks it meant a lot to him.

I can say that I am a little scared; he has e-mailed me and told me that his base has had two rocket attacks already. :(

Best of luck to your uncle! His work there is very appreciated, and your knife-gifting gesture was very generous, and I'm sure it's a constant reminder for him. Give him our regards,

Dan

That is a great knife you gave him. I bet he uses it a lot. Just perfect for over there.
I pray for all the men and women to come home safely.
He's doing a great service in rebuilding the place.

Good luck to him, I hope he stays safe!

At least he won't be under-knife-equiped, that's a good one!

I hope he comes back happy and healthy, with a lot of money to spend and good stories to tell!

NICE knife! :D

Yes, you indeed gave him a very good blade! Wishing him and you all the best during his tour (if that is the proper word for it). Maybe your uncle would be interested in giving a report on how the knife is used there and how it performs? I would be interested in that.

Ya I'll ask him
