My Uncle's Khukuri has Arrived

Bill, earlier today when I came home I saw the package in my mailbox and took it in. Inside was a beautiful horn-handled 16.5" WWII. My uncle is going to receive a nice birthday present this year. The sarki(s) did a great job with the scabbard. I also noticed the new style bolster (ah the evolution of the khukuri continues).

For those who are interested, here are the specs:

OAL: 16 3/16"
Blade (from top of bolster to tip): 10 3/8"
Width: 1 3/4"
Thickness: 3/8"
Handle (from tip of buttcap to top of bolster): 5 13/16"

Bob, your uncle is a lucky fella to have you for a nephew. The two of you must have a special relationship -- which is what life is really all about. I know he will enjoy the gift and the thoughtfulness behind it.
 
Steven, I agree and thanks for making that post. I have only one blood nephew, Travis, and we had a very special relationship when he was growing up. Now he is a big boy with a serious galpal so our times together are not like before but he is still one of my favorite people.
