I was finally able to get by the Beadblastin' shop to finish these up. This guy does great work. The straight handled steel heart turned out sweet. I put a little oil on the handle in this pic.

Heres a pic with no oil. I think I prefer the oiled handles.

The BA3 got blasted too. With a little oil on the handle to boot.

And the dry micarta. Not doing much for me.

Check out the dimple pattern on this baby.

I really like the way the dimples extend out across the top.

Great pics and knives!

Have you tried using Ren Wax on the handles? I used some on my 3 Finger, and it is a nice middle ground between the wet and dry look. It also doesnt rub off like oil.

To be honest I only put the oil on for pics. I really prefer the dark look, I just let them get dark from handling.

What guy? where? those look great! I've got a BA that might need that treatment. :D

Here's a picture of the SHSH that I accidently caught. I had not yet BB it, I had only taken it to the satin finish. I just think it's wild looking. The light reflecting down the center of the blade.

I, for one, am not too proud to say that I'm jealous............... 'cause I am.

.

Now how 'bout some "IN ACTION" shots.. :D

you know the warranty is now void so you might as well get rid of them. Put them up on the sale forum I am sure someone will pic them up sooner or later:thumbup:

No way, see the sticky at the top of the forum about warranty work. I'll take care of them for you. Cobalt is just trying to get you to sell them to him on the cheap. Beware of such skull duggery.

I see RED NAME TAGs and I kill da man wearing them. Go back and tell them I'm commin and Hell is commin with me !!!!

How do they bed blast around the handle??
Looks nice.

Cheers,

I've never hit micarta with a bead blaster but any kind of rubber the beads have no effect on.

You can take the worlds baddest sandblast rig and blast a rim with the tire on without hurting the rubber at all.
You could probably silicone an insignia on a knife and cut a nice oval for it and bead the blade, then peel off the silicone leaving the etched name untouched..
Hell I'll try one out tonight..
They may have just taped the grips.. carefully.
That dude / dudette  is good with his/her blaster..
VERY nice

You can blast the micarta too, it doesn't hurt it at all. Blast all up on it if you want.

Thanks for all of the compliments everybody. I have gotten into trying to take decent pictures, still having a long way to go. I think I posted 7-8 pics on this thread but took literally 75-80 pics to get those 7-8. Then working on the brightness and contrast. It's getting fun and I hope to get better at it. One thing that tics me off is that when I post them they show up all blurry/fuzzy on my screen but are clear, I hope/think, on your screens. Someone said it's just the accelerater on my computer that makes them appear fuzzy to me. Oh well.

I am going to work on my outdoor picture skills this week to get some decent user shots, of the SHSH & BA3. I did my first bit of chopping with the SHSH last night, I cut half way threw a 4" diameter log twice. All I have to say is this DCBB finish is the shiznit. This was a hardwood and I was giving it all I had and there were no scratches left on the blade when I was done. There were a couple of smudges that wiped right off with a wet Mr. Clean sponge. It looks exactly like it did when the BBster handed it to me, perfect. It's crazy considering the force I was striking the log with.

those are looking really awesome Rob! Great job!
We'll have to get up so you can see them in person. Their amazing. And to think that a year or few down the road if their all scatched up, If I want to I can lightly sand them a little and get them blasted again. Wahlah, brand new again.

I love bare steel- very excellent work. Jerry are you listening?? ...BARE STEEL! Some of us might even say NEKID!
