My version of a Paul Long sheath

I've said it before but think Paul Long's sheath work is an icon of the well dressed bowie.
So, when it came to making a sheath for my second knife, I couldn't help but see something along the lines of his sheaths.
In this case, I see the copying as a learning tool, both to push my abilities and hopefully to spur a new direction of my own.

Thanks Paul.

Stuart, I am all but speechless. This one appears to be perfect in every way. Design, flow, the off set chevron, the stitching and the Beaver Tail. Man what a beauty.

I am so flattered to have been named an influence on your work. It's my turn to thank you. It is so gratifying to help someone along and then see this kind of result.

Tomorrow is my 77th birthday and this was a great present.

Wow - that is awesome.

Both for your work, and for honoring a master craftsman.

I finished up one the other day and I thought to myself - 'hey, that looks a little like something Chuck would make.' I was proud that my work reminded me, a little, of his great stuff.
