I never saw the original except on the very well known promo picture. So I most likely made different knife. But the idea was to try to make the similar shape versatile and handy knife.
I made it for a very good customer.
So that's what came out:
My homemade crucible steel, hand forged. Approximately 1/8 thick, flat ground blade.
About 4" blade and 4" handle; close to what the small version of the original knife was.
Black walnut scales on the tapered full tang fixed with 3 copper rivets. Treated with linseed oil and polished with carnauba.
The leather sheath in the same style as the original knife. Glued and hand stiched and wet formed to fit the knife. I stamped a design on the sheath because it looked like original one had some. Have no idea what was on the original one.
So overall it is definitely not a copy but I was trying to make something with the similar character. Hope you like it.
