Hi guys!

Today´s mail was very nice to me. I got my very first GEC; it´s the Serpentine Jack from willgoy! The #66 came with Orange Standard Jig Bone and it´s the Serial Number 04 of 25

It came in the original tube and the certificate and the waxpapertowel was still in there!

Opened with the mainblade.

The Clip blade opened and here is that nice handle to see from above. The handles are much thicker than any of Case Knives! The #66 feels completely right in my hands.

Here´s an in-hand-pic

The knife has a great walk & talk. The backspring is strong, but no nailbreaker at all.
The production quality is on a really high level. There is no noticable space between the bolsters and the bonescales. The blades are both centered. And the corners are really nice rounded.
It has already got a very special place in my collection and in my EDC rotation. I really like that one. It´s my first GEC and jackknife. :)

I think, I got bitten by the bug and infected by the virus!

Thank you so much Will, for this absolutelly stunning knife! :)

I´m really happy getting such an absolute beauty!

Kind regards
Andi

That is a really nice one Andi. A big thank you to Will for doing something so generous. I'm sure that one will be with you with a lot of good Karma.

Thank you guys!

What I still want say, that pattern is pretty pocketfriendly and fills the hand very nice. Better than a Case knife (though they are no bad knives, I don´t wanna say this). I´m sure it will make a good EDC. I carried it since it arrived, for about six hours now. Great in pocket carrying.

KInd regards
Andi

Well thats just awesome, beautiful knife Andi.
You now own the only two colors that I like, I think the Tidioutes really look the best in this pattern.

Let us know what you think of them after you have put some serious pocket time to them, I think your gonna love them.

WOW - congrats Andi! That's a great looking knife. Your first GEC and a gift on top of that! That's going to be a special knife to you, forever. And hat's off to you Will, for such a generous gesture!

Keith, I agree with you completelly. The gesture is really outstanding. It has already got a special place in my collection. It has already become a special knife to myself.

Johnny, I gonna give some information about that one how it is carrying it in daily use and carrying. :)

Kind regards
Andi

Very nice #66 Andi!! Great gift Will!! The #66 is a great all around pattern. I like the coloration on this one too. I'm picky with my orange bone handles. I think this one has just enough translucence.

Congrats, Andi, and well done, Will. That's a schweet knife.

I've yet to try GEC's serpentine pattern, but your pics are givin' me the itch.

Great knife Andi, and of course great gesture by Will (funny enough, I just reminded that I had talked to him about this knife for a trade, but then we made none...I didn't know it then, but this knife was meant to get to Bavaria :D). This is one of my favourite patterns from GEC, and I have to say that I may end up getting one. I just wish they offered a 440C version on this pattern, but I guess I have to wait for that. Oh, and I do like the orange handles on this :)

Congratulations on the acquisition of a fine-looking knife. I have to admit that I don't know what: "It has a great walk and talk" means though...

I just ordered a GEC, one of the small EZ open jacks, just to see what all the hubbub is about with this brand.

I've only got two Cases now, both new, and no issues with scale fit or thickness. Only a bit of unevenness of the dye on the bone. But for double the money, I will have higher expectations for the GEC. ;)

I think my next traditional will be a Buck though. They seem to be the best value going in a US-made knife these days.

Nice score, man! Gotta love the GEC serpentine pattern. If you like a stockman knife, check out their Calf Roper offerings, they're super crazy excellent!

Those orange scales are reminiscent of tooled leather to my eyes.

That's a very cool and useable knife you have there be sure and EDC the heck out of that thing jack knives are awesome for general use.

HI guys!

It´s really great. I carried it with today, the whole day during work and it felt great in pocket and in use.

Just got up to my personal hit-list on number 1 at the EDC scala.

Kind regards
Andi
