Well I was out tinkering in my garage and found the first knife that I have ever owned. It was an old Cub Scout Camillus and I got it when I was 7 years old. The knife next to it is a SAK...I have no idea what kind. Just thought I would post the pics...I cant believe I found these knives after sooooo many years. I'm carrying the Cam to work tomarrow just for the hell of it:)

I like those boy scout knives.
I still remember losing my first one and the field I lost it in. :(
It came out of my pocket while running.

Here's a pic of one of my first serious knives, a Schrade 51OT , had it since I was 17, making it 25+ years old, I retired it because the pivot pin was starting to wear, and I was afraid the lock would fail.

I did a lot of cuttin' with that guy, it was like a sharp prybar, I carried that and a Schrade 1 blade Trapper nestled together in the same sheath.

Hey Kaxter, Holy Jeez and here I thought that I was the only one that still had an old Camillus Cub Scout knife. I too got mine when I was seven so mine right now is 38 years old. Your's looks like it is in great shape.
member how cool you thought you were when you were carrying it on your belt clip?:D

I thought I was the coolest guy in the entire world. My mother had said I couldnt have a pocket knife until I was 8 years old (too "dangerous" ) and then on christmas eve when I was seven, when I knew there was NO hope at all in getting a pocketknife, I went downstairs, and looked in my stocking. The first thing I pulled out was my brand new shiny Cub Scout pocketknife...I will never forget it. I have had this knife for so many years now, and I will keep it forever.

I still have a little Camillus 814 pocketknife that I bought myself when I was 10 or so. My first knife was a gift from my father, a Western M49 Bowie on a wall plaque. It has since seen much use, and is still a great knife.

Its funny, all the scars I have on my hands are from the Cam. It doesnt have a lock on it so the blade always snapped back and hit my fingers...but I just LOVE the knife:) Im honestly giddy that I found it.

ROFLMAO:D

Kaxter, are you part of the Locking Blade Designers Promotions Department?:p

Don't mind me, I like slipjoints too - especially when they are sitting in my display case.
