Give the 25 some time and it will be as smooth as the 21. My blade on my 25 falls free when the tension is released from the lock bar, and oh soooo smooth.

Great review! I really like the looks of the micartas. One of the 21's will probably be the next CRK I get. Large, small, drop point or insingo, I'm not sure yet. Too many great choices.

Oh, and I saw you drop the 25 at the 14 minute mark didn't miss a beat though!

For the past week, I have been playing with my 25 more and more... Dare I say that I think I am starting to like it more than the 21. I am not 100% yet on that. I am surprised on how different the lock up and detent feel compared with the 21. <--- In a good way.

I know what you mean. It took a few weeks for my 25 to really grow on me, but now I absolutely love it. I'm not sure I love it more than my my 21's or my Zaans but it's close.
