The knife arrived with the pivot way too tight so I had to loosen that a hair so the blade would deploy without resistance, there is a lock stick issue that sharpie cannot remedy atm, and the blade is slightly smaller than I'd imagined. Overall the knife seems to be well made and sturdy, I like the grippiness of the g10, the blade is razor sharp, and it is very comfortable in my hand. I believe most of my issues can be remedied with break-in, and buying the cqc15. Anyone have any suggestions for the liner lock stick?

Mine came with the pivot super tight too. I cleaned it out and tightened to my liking. The lock stick issue usually goes away with use. I have had a few that still stick even though they have been used quite a bit. Never tried the sharpie trick but have used a pencil and it seems to work ok.

Damn. I should've tried pencil instead, graphite would've been a much better lubricant. I thought I read on hear about using sharpie for lock stick issues.

I did it on a 7V that was sticky and it worked OK but as soon as I cleaned it the stick was back. It eventually worked itself out so I didn't reapply. It was the only time I did anything to the lock face and I didn't feel too comfortable with it. I would rather have a sticky lock than one that is slick. Not saying it isn't safe or a bad idea just something I'm not comfortable with.

Both my new Emersons, a Super Commander and a 15, came with sticky locks and everything you experienced.

Both of them were dissambled, cleaned up and reassembled. The locks still stuck a little.

I've continued to break them in, and now it is gone on both after a couple of weeks. Be patient.
