When I had a houseful of family visitors recently, one visitor was 13-year-old Terisa.
Many of you met her through her posts when she discovered my computer.

I remember Terisa as a 3-year-old, very young girl when Uncle Bill and I went
back to Nepal in 2000 to visit the shop and family members. The first night we stayed in Pala's house,
Terisa was wandering around and came upon my husband, Uncle Bill. She took one look at
him and ran to her grandfather, baje and said, "Oh, baje ! There's supposed
To be only one ( baje )grandfather, but there's another one."

She's 13 now and growing up. I do wish Uncle Bill had been here to see her growing into a smart, Delightful teenager.

We had fun posting on forums and discussing HI business with each other while she was here.
She will be visiting me again next summer...a young girl learning to live with her dreams.

It was nice having Terisa visit the forums. She looks like she is about ready to carry on in the family business. :)

Yangdu,
Terisa is a pleasure to us all. Bill had the chance to meet her as a 3 year old and certainly saw her potential.
Everybody, please let her be a child and enjoy her wonder at the world there is time enough to be an adult. She'll find her own place with caring family to help guide her.
I'm going to go make sure my little one is tucked in safe & sound. He's growing too fast.

Childhood innocence and joy is beautiful. You only get childhood once, think I kinda squandered mine. Current environment doesn't help of course, but that's a different topic which I won't go into.

I thought she handled herself well on the forum and I enjoyed talking with her through it. She is a bright young girl and yes, I do hope she is allowed to be a young girl because I am afraid too many children these days are cheated out of their childhoods. I am also glad to know that Himalayan Imports will be in good hands with the next generation at the helm. Terisa will make a great US Ambassador for the products the Kamis produce and will no doubt be able to take HI into the next era of sales. She also shows a good eye towards design, the blade she designed is a nice one and I look forward to having the opportunity to own one.

Warty, I'm about ready to do some carving on my leather sheaths. Terisa is the first person I am going to for input on the designs.

Best wishes for Terisa and HI!

Let's experience the world, obtain sufficient knowledge and skills then come back to continue building HI.

We are waiting for you here!
