I just checked Knifecenter of the Internet. They are selling Spydercards for $29.95! I am really excited about the Spydercard now that i know it has a 2 7/8"`blade. That is about the same size as the old Delica or a Calypso Jr. In other words this is a real knife, not a cute novelty. I really appreciate a cool cheap Spyderco because I have a baby on the way. Those diapers are gonna eat up my Military money!
 
anyone who already has the spydiecard -- does it feel "heavy" in the wallet? at its listed 3.3 oz, it is a bit heavier than i would've expected, even w/metal body.

also, how well does the lock "hold"? not as strong as a bona fide folder, obviously, but...?

Glen - we got 360 inch/lbs on the lock. Stronger than a lot of "bona-fide" folders currently on the market.

I haven't tried mine in my wallet yet- too much crap in it already, but I've been walking around with it in my front pocket for a couple of days- feels really good in the pocket- solid but not "chunky"- much more substantial than it looks in the photos (imho). This is a real knife! Nice thing to have tucked away somewhere- would fit nicely in a first-aid kit, etc.
