I sent my knife to Edwards to have it sharpened. He sent me an e-mail saying my Umnumzaan had an air bubble in the blade near the curve. He even sent me pictures of the air pocket and I could not see it. When I received my blade back from him, I still could not see the air pocket on the edge (he marked it) of the knife but I could feel something with my finger nail running along the edge of the blade. Anyway, he called CRK prior sending the blade back to me and said to call them when I receive the blade. I waited almost a week to call CRK and really did not thing it was big deal and I certainly not worrying about that little air pocket, but then decided to call. Spoke to Deb and the first thing she said, "do you know we will sharpen your knife for free". I said yes, she replied, " why don't you send to us for sharping next time". I said ok, I just thought you guys would be to busy to do a quick blade sharping, she "not a problem". She asked me if I could see the air pocket and I said, no I cannot. Then she said does the blade bother you and I said no, the only reason I'm calling you is because I thought you might be expecting a call. Then she put me on hold and went to talk to someone (it was the man :)) and when she came back to the phone she said, "Chris would like to see the blade if you don't mind sending it to us". I said no problem I will put it in the mail soonest.

About a week later she called me and said, Chris wants to put a new blade on your knife because he wants to do some more test on the blade, would that be ok. I said no problem, then she said I cannot give a date when you will get it back but we will get on real soon. I said don't worry about it, I have another Umnumzaan so I do wont feel lonely. About 2 weeks or so (I didn't really track it), she called me and said my knife was ready for shipping and it should get to your house on Friday, and it did. I asked her if they put a S30 or the S35 blade in it and she said the S30. The knife is like brand new, it is awesome. I think it looks better then my newest Umnumzaan the Starzaan.

I was very impressed with their professionalism and their desire to investigate to improve on the quality of their already outstanding knives. They do good work, don't care what anyone says, they are very good people to deal with.

That's great to her such a positive experience. I just sent my knife back to a certain high end knife maker because of major construction flaws And they told me that they are very busy and they may be able to fix it and I will pay for shipping and parts. they were not even sure that they would fix it, a $300 knife, that doesn't work, barely used. I have been waiting for a couple of weeks now. I should have just stuck to Chris Reeves, they stand by their product.
Don't ask who, I am waiting till the issue gets resolved to decide whether or not to post the company name.
