I just finished making a website today. One page is of the knives that I've made. The rest are my drawings, paintings, and bio. Please take a look and tell me what you think. Warning: some of the artwork are nudes. (some people might get offended!)

Very nice work, Ray! Given your artistic talent, I wonder if you've ever considered scrimshaw, engraving, or other techniques for dressing up your knives...

By the way, welcome to the forums. :)

....and you're BUSTED! For hoarding!:D

Welcome aboard, and thanks for the display. Looks like you can do anything you set out to do. I'm jealous!

I couldn't get past the pinup section :D

Actually the knives look very well made and have nice lines.
I also agree about scrimshaw, that wolf and bear looked fantastic.

That one with the 3.5" blade has an absolutely gorgeous handle, and I really like the temper line.

Thanks for the kind words. I use ferric chloride to bring out the temper line which is something I learned from this forum. Then I wipe it down with something called GS 27 (a scratch remover for cars). It polishes the blade while leaving the temper line. The micarta handled knife has a bright polish even though it doesn't show on the picture. the small knife has no polish. I wanted it to look old. I've been lurking in these forums since early 1998. I used to go by the name of Rhett and I had a few posts. I changed my name when I lost my password and I changed my e-mail. Here's a direct link to the knives if you want to pass the other stuff:

...and a very eclectic set of skills you have Ray! I also wondered if you had dabbled in any scrim with the artistic capabilities you obviously possess.

Thanks for sharing...good start on your site!!!
