I recently got married in August to an amazing girl that supports my hobbies, knives, hunting and fishing as long as I bring her along.
My wedding gift from her was the KS-5 Elk Hunter. That is an amazing knife. The first thing it cut was our wedding cake or cupcake... I was hoping the second thing it would cut into would be an elk, but I missed him.... :x Check out the engraving below that she had done. I thought that was pretty cleaver.
Yesterday she gave me the go ahead to order the new bushcraft too. The handle will be the same as the Loveless Droppoint with Ironwood scales. I am very excited about that knife.

right on man... congrats.. you definitely got a keeper there..:D my wife loves knives too...:)

Awesome, looks like ya got a keeper there for sure, ya make a good looking couple !

Why is there such a large space between when the handle ends and the edge begins, any special reason ?

Pit, I would assume so you can get your fingers on the blade for more the detail work. When I am using my larger knives for smaller projects, alot of the time, I will put my thumb and index finger on that portion, you don't need leverage, but blade control for some of the work the knife is intended for. Thats my best guess... I could be wrong, but that is what I use it for. My second guess is, you wont get blood on the handle when you jump out of a tree and stab the elk? or not.

Thanks buddy, you'll have to keep us updated on how you find it performs.

My wife likes knives and is a hunter and fisher girl. However she can't figure out why a guy needs three knives for each day of the week and each day of the year. Like a guy can use the same knife more than once a week.:D Nice blades and a good wife you have there.

Yea, I am sure she had thoughts about it right here too... I believe she was thinking how she can use this knife as birthcontrol...
