Just got back from a wonderful, relaxful weekend at the lake. A little R&R really did me some good.
Thought I'd share a few pics of the festivities. Enjoy.

Packed up the truck Saturday morning.
It was a lot of stuff. And my wife stuffed her camry too!!
Got everything we need and more.

Hitched up the boat and hit the road.

Not a bad little camp site.

The Muskox got to do some wood processing and preformed admirably.

At Dinner time the BK-2 helped out with the potatoes. First time using it for food prep.
It was awesome! I'm going to start using it around the kitchen more often!

Put the boat in the water and my 2 yr old little Princess wanted to drive us out.

marlie235.jpg

I told her she could drive it later. That made her happy.

marlie239.jpg

I asked her to scout out a good place to start fishing.

Got the poles in the water. My very expensive rod and reel and her Barbie pole.
Who's going to catch the first fish...?

marlie244.jpg

You guessed it. The Barbie pole goes down first!
Trusty BK-2 on my hip.

After a few hours fishing she was ready for a little nap.

A little time to kick back and enjoy the scenery.

Shortly after that photo, my battery died and we had to get towed to shore. lol.
I had my BK-11 around my neck all weekend. Thrillbilly's Kydex held it tight.
All in all we had an excellent time.
Nice and relaxing, but I'm glad to be home.
Looking forward to a good nights sleep!
Hope you all had a good weekend too!

Awesome post. Looks like good times. Gotta love the monkey hat.

Good post, it's always awesome to get the little ones out (my daughter is 2 also). Looks like the 2 did well in the kitchen, I use mine there all the time it performs better than many would think.

I can't wait for that new sheath!
BTW...I can't ever get rid of that old 70. I've got waaayyyy too much money in that thing. Although you wouldn't know by looking at it! lol. All the dollar bills went under the hood.

Looks like a great outing. I have forgotton how much fun little people can be! I am flying home in a couple of days and hope to get my son (age 14) up in the mountains and do a little camping/four wheeling/fishing/shooting.
All the best

looks like a great time! The monkey hat is funny, I used to wear funny hats too!
A friend of mine has that same Ozark trail tent, its a good tent. I really like the pole set up and the shoe ports.

Looks like a great time was had for sure. I wish I could've gotten some people pic this weekend, but the family tends to run away from the camera.

what lake did you run too? if you don't mind me asking

It was the Riffe Lake Campground. Over on the Mossyrock (South) side of the lake.
I've been there a few times now and I really like it.
It's on the East side of the dam that seperates Mayfield and Riffe.

nice fishing trip :) great barbie fishing pole too, she must be proud!

That is one super cute kid! Boats are a lot of fun. I could probably finally afford one of my own if I could stop buying knives. Someday.......:)

Great pictures.
