I picked up an old Camillus display case, thinking that it would be a neat way to display some of my Camillus knives. I finally got around to cleaning it up and setting up a display this weekend. This isn't the greatest photo, but I kind of like the way the display came out.

Wire with black insulation; you can see it if you look closely, although I did try to put it in places where it didn't show a lot.

I don't know that much about it, it's one that I need to do some research on. It has markings that I had not seen before, a variant pf the 4 line marking but with 1915:

What markings are on the folding machete?

I'll need to go back and check, but I think the CAMILLUS on the blade may be the only marking.

The marlin spike knife was made during WWI for the British and Canadian Navies. The short blade with the stud is an early style can-opener. This knife also had a unique feature which is a clevis/shackle/bail made of copper.
The folding machete was made during WWII. Total production was approximately 116,000. You have the metal blade guard that is usually missing.
Knives in early Camillus display cases were attached to the panel with green florist wire. I remember seeing the ladies in the packing dept. assembling the display panels. One person would place the knives and wire on the top of the panel and another person would work under the panel and twist the florist wire to secure the knives. This procedure was used until Camillus started using the molded panels.
