I am quite sure you guys are sick of seeing these but this is a great acquisition for me and I had to show it.

The story starts in the bar at the Rennisance Wavery Hotel in Atlamta during Blade, well not really :) it actually started out when Buddy posted the great picture that he took of Jon Kleins Wheeler Fighter that was possible my favorite of the series.

I loved it and it really made an imprecation on me. I thought "WOW" is that cool that something I had a part in has become one of Nicks more popular designs. I was floored and really coveted Jon's knife

Well back to the bar story......I really like bar stories :)

I was sitting with Peter Gill and Jon Klein and a few other folks when Jon handed me the knife. What can I say I loved it and asked Jon to please give me first crack at it if he ever was to part with it.

Well Jon is a Gentlemens Gentlemen and did just that.

Thanks Bud

Like I said of all the fancy variants of this knife this one really spoke to me. I have grown away from the frangible materials in my own knife handle choices and pretty much if its not stag or micarta have been shying away from them.

So for me this blade has a kind of ancient/modern thing going for it that I really dig.

Buddy's great Picture

My horrible pictures

The one with the temper line is the Proto of the series.

The other is a user grade finished version ( For Nick :) ) that has been my companion since I got it.

Awesome set Joe! I got to handle the CF version at Blade as well - it's a really impressive piece in all respects. Jon's as solid as they come.

Thanks everybody

David Sharp speaking of scores very excited about the one I'm getting from you.

I'll never get sick of looking at these Joe :) Such a solid, versatile design, and if it has Nick's mark on it you know it will perform.

Could never see too much of this incredible trifecta, Joe !
Unreal. Thanks for sharing.

Good for you, Joey!!! I knew you liked them a lot (and they weren't even ugly:D) The reason the sheaths are interchangeable is because Nick has enough talent to make the SAME knife precisely more than once.

It has nothing to do with Nick's skills its all in the Leather Smith :)

I feel like quoting John McEnroe about your 3 Wheelers, "You cannot be serious!"

Wheeler/Paranee....not sure how that happened.:D

Blame Peter Gill...really....if it wasn't for Peter, I'm pretty damned sure that Joe would be saying Nick Who?

Peter has the rumor is, the largest singular collection of Nick Wheeler knives, kind of like Trevaskis once had of Knight knives.

Good job Joseph, Paulie, and especially, Nick.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

hello all

hello Joe

I'm really happy for you! This knife is exeptional!

he is my favorite, mixing modern and classic, I think this is very very nice
I see it as a knife ferrari all field (utility, fighter)

Bravo and congratulations to you, Nick and Paul

Sam I've been trying to reach you get a hold of me when you can

Thanks for the kind words :)

What a treasure trove! That pic of Nick's trio with Paul's sheaths really is a "most toys" moment.

Good for you, Joe.
