My wife and friends got me a Little Giant hammer for my birthday! WooHoo!!

So, yesterday was my birthday. It was a good one for many reasons, not the least of which is my new ownership of a Little Giant 50#. I'd heard about it for sale locally before, couldn't scrape up the dough in the foreseeable future, so my wife pulled a ninja move and talked to all my friends and my parents, they passed the hat, and I went out and bought the hammer yesterday morning.

I'll take pics and post them soon, I've still got to go pick the frame and haul it back to my shop. This one sure isn't plug-and-play, it needs new babbitt and has a welded toggle arm, but the frame, dovetails, and most of the parts are really sound.

Maybe I'll do a rebuild thread when I get all the materials and a plan together.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to go get the frame this next weekend. I'm all antsy to rebuild it, it's hard to wait. It's gonna take some help to move that thing, though. Pics soon.
