My wife's all time favorite knife was her old worker model, but years of use and abuse had worn it down to a metal toothpick. I picked up another Spyderco for her at a gun show. Not sure which model, similar to the old worker, a little lighter and without the upswept point. She left it on the bench in the barn, which proceeded to burn completely to the ground in an electrical fire. All the animals got out OK, and a week later, while kicking through the ash, her Clipit caught my eye. It is somewhat the worse for wear appearance-wise, but sharpened up nicely. It may replace the worker as her favorite, based on "it's got a story" factor, and now has an interesting antiqued look as a bonus.
