My wife finally asked for a nice knife! She always likes my spydercos and wanted something small for her pocket or purse. I suggested a dragonfly, which I never had handled but seemed to fit the bill. She went online to see which she liked and found the tattoo series. This little knife is sweet! The engraving and color treatment spyderco does on the handle looks great! She loves it. And I finally got to handle a dragonfly.... Found out it's not a good fit for my xxxl hands. Came razor sharp, perfectly centered and nice solid lockup. Once again spyderco is awesome!

Awesome! Once she graduates to bigger and better blades, you should give the pink Native 4 a look.

It's weird timing to see this post. For the first time in the 4+ years I've been collecting knives, I've ran into three people this week that were carrying Spydies. I notice knives clipped to peoples pockets all the time but when I ask what they're carrying, it's usually some piece of crap out of a gumball machine or a dollar store. Being such a knife snob, I don't even show them what I'm carrying because they probably wouldn't appreciate it. Today I saw the first women I've ever seen with a knife clipped to her pocket and it was a ss Dragonfly. Imagine that.

Any women that says "I want a Spyderco," or any knife for that matter, is a keeper.

Thanks for sharing.

My wife carries the black FRN version every day. It was originally purchased to use at work. Once she got used to having it, then it became EDC. Its great when I carry the sage2. She carries right side, I pefer left. When we stand as normal the wire clips look so good next to each other.

Any men wanting to get their woman a discrete yet functional knife, get the DF2! I even use and like it a lot.

My wife is a fan of the Dragonfly pattern too. I've found most of the versions for her little collection.

I got my Mom one for her birthday and she really likes it. This past August, one of my brothers got me a SS Dragonfly with my name engraved on it.

Looks like as well as being a great little knife all around that the dragonfly is a good fit for the ladies. After a couple days of use she has commented on being shocked of how it cut and sliced, as well as it being like a piece of jewelry. It will be interesting to see if she starts wanting more than one .
I like getting my kids and wife involved, because I get to buy and see alot more knives lol it seems people really enjoy and use a nice knife . She been clipping hers in the small pocket on her jeans. That SS pocket clip is sharp looking .

I agree! :) My daughter was hinting that she wanted a knife and really liked the Dfly tattoo, so I got it for her for Christmas. When my wife saw what I got for our daughter, she wanted a knife for her key chain. She really liked the tattoo design so I got her the ladybug tattoo. I couldn't leave my son out so he got the wooden dragonfly kit. All very cool knives. My son even managed to slice up a lego box with his

Yes my 13yo daughter loves her pink dozier kbar, she's had it a couple years and has followed all the rules. She was finding alot of reasons to use or handle my wife's new dragonfly. She said she thinks she deserves a spyderco too lol I agree, but she says mom's is too small, I use mostly enduras which she really likes so I'm thinking a delica is in her near future...A great report card might do it.
Funny you mention the wood kit! Have had one on my shelf for me and my 4yo son to do together. Think I'll grab some wood paint tomorrow.
