Hey everyone,

Earlier this year I studied under Murray Carter for 2 weeks. It was one heck of an experience and I thought it'd be nice to share with you all.

I have an album with an overall summary and some descriptions: http://imgur.com/a/TfmXP

Hope it was of interest :)

Thanks!

Consider me extremely jealous :P

Looks like you had a great time, and that was definitely awesome of Murray!

That has got to be one of the best story's I have heard in a long time. That was very gracious of him to let you in to his world for a few weeks and you most likely got to experience what most of us will never get the chance. I'm really happy for you.

Don, that is seriously cool. I imagine it'll boost your progress with kitchen knives and the knife business in general quite significantly. Plus, it looks like a plain 'ol good time.

I certainly did learn a lot, but even in the two weeks I feel like I was just barely scratching the surface. There is definitely controversy over a lot of his techniques and approach, but his ability to use a forge and hammer are absolutely unreal. There are just too many details that I go right past me with my experience level. The knowledge I gained will definitely help tremendously, but it will probably be applied gradually over time as I keep working at it :)
