Hey there everyone! It's been a while since I've checked in here. I thought I'd share a trip report that I posted over on hammockforums.net. I went out for a night and a day in the woods a couple of weekends ago. It was a new low for me. . . About 6 degrees. I hope you enjoy the report and the pics. It was a fantastic trip. :)

Maybe a few of you will be converted to hammock camping while you're there! ;)

I started off hammock camping and backpacking at the same time. . . I learned a lot just by trial and error, but it would really have been nice to have known about the gold mine of information available on the hammock forums at least a couple of years earlier than I did. It took me a bit of reading around over there before I started understanding their acronyms and jargon, but once things started to click, I was amazed at how much I had been missing out on. Check it out, and see what you think. FYI, there's a group outing (the Hoosier Hang) planned for the weekend of April 15th along the Nebo Ridge trail. You'd be more than welcome to join us, even if you don't have a hammock by then, and it would give you a chance to see and try a lot of the different gear that's available. Hope you enjoyed the pics and trip report.
