Barry Wood that is.


I have been a fan of his designs for a while and I think I have cherry picked a few nice ones. Let me know what you think.

How the knife opens/ closes for those unfamiliar with how this types of butterfly knife works



Open:

From left to right 5 mark 2 then 2 mark 1 models.

1) Engraved beryllium copper frame, cordovan micarta and hand polished blade.

2) Beryllium copper frame, stag. With box, remarks on card "very special version" Number 1001 of 1000. Signed by Woods and Irie.

3) Salesman sample #711 stainless frame. handle is red, ivory, carbon black linen, stag. Flip side is cordovan, natural, green, black canvas . Has box and card. 1 of 4 made. Signed by Woods and Irie.


All the above are Boulder made with Mike Irie.

4 & 5) The next two are stainless frames with black linen micarta. Both are marked made in Venice California.

One is a safe queen, the other (unnumbered, unsigned) is a user and occasional carrier .

The mark 1s

6) Rosewood(?), stainless frame, hand polished blade, ivory liner. Boulder made

7) Black micarta, aluminum frame. Venice made. Very cool lightweight carrier for son of fod.

Even though I have not posted in your threads, I have admired your collection for a while now.
 

just curious, where do you come across a knife like this?? my grandfather gave me one years a go but i can never find info on them or where to get them, looks like this one but with the black scales
 
this count as a wooden knife?
