My works - 2015

You Sir are an artist, very clean and detailed work. First class all the way.

Thank you. I know that there is a lot of things to improve.
I'm still learning. Leatherwork isn't easy :-D

Sir,

May I ask how you are doing your wet forming? Do you use the item itself and form to it - or do you have presses? I would love to see how you are getting them so tight to the item. Well done.

Jason

I had the exact same question/comment for him Jason.

OP - You certainly are talented, & humble....& prolific! I only had to time to look thru a small % of these pics, but everything was great, & again, the wet forming is some of the very best/tightest I've seen. And lastly - your profile pic scares me. I'm a 40yo man with a family, & I think of myself as a man's man, a tough man....your pic scares me bro....well done!

Hello guys.
Sorry for late answer , i had duty in my unit yesterday.
Hmmm how to start?
I do sheaths from about 3,5 years.
From this time i did more than 1500 different wet molded sheaths .
All in my free time ( beetwen duties in my unit - im professional soldier )
I use simple tool for molding (i did it my self ) .
Its 100 % handmade ( my middle finger suffers most:)
Use always good quality , vegetable tanned leather 7 oz thickness.

Small photostory.
Ill try to answer on all questions .

Most important thing. I never use hot air from hair dryier .
Only cold air . Molding do in 4 levels . 4 x molding -drying. 4 th molding is finally , shows all details . After that i leave molded shape for 12-14 hours for finally drying .
Thats all.

Excellent pictorial tutorial. I think that even I could make a molded sheath from following the pictures.

Mine would not look nearly as professional, though. Especially my sewing.

My sewing is so crooked, it makes a snake look straight. :D

Wow nice pictorial Wicek. Thanks for that I know how much time that takes. I've found your process very interesting. Wish my molding was as detailed.

Thank you gentelmen.
VanDammet dont scare my pic.
This is only photoshop :)
