I pursue knife making as a means of stress relief from work so I consider myself a hobbiest more than anything. Most of what I do is fitting handles to pre-made blades and making sheaths following Mr. Longs advice. With that said I am always looking to push myself and do better than the last time. As such, I figured the easiest way for me to keep track of my progress is to have a running thread with my knives from here on out. I am always looking learn so your comments and critiques will always be appreciated! Enjoy

Very nice work on handles, the wood looks really nice. But that are the sheaths that I admire the most.

Thank you! It's funny you say that I am actually working on a new style of G10 bolster for me to go with a stabilized maple burl. Hopefully it'll turn out as I picture it in my head :P.

what you're doing looks awesome so far.
 
Beautiful work & very nice finish, but I'm wondering how soon until the bug really bites you & you start doing your own blades as well. Beware the slippery slope!

Thank you! I still have a lot of pre-made blades...(about 20 :o) left to go through so once I'm done with those I'll have to see what I can do about expanding my shop space.
 
Very beautifully shaped handles.
 
I liked how the G10 looked with the wood on my last blade so I decided to make a "Frame," style bolster with multiple layers of G10. The resulting lines add a little bit extra to the handle. I had to modify my finish methodology to work with this new configuration but I am extremely pleased with how well it came out (IMHO) lol. I already have 3 more handles in the works with the same style of bolster so stay tuned. With that said, I am really interested in hearing what everyone thinks so please let me know!
