I was fortunate enough to know Bub personally, he and his brother operated the liquor store in my town. Bub was a character to say the least and I knew him for a couple years before I found out he was a knife maker. Bub wasn't the kind of guy to toot his own horn, although he had opinions on most everything and would chat with you as long as you wanted to hang out and do so. Bub was also a generous and kind hearted person once you got to know him, he fronted me many, many 12 packs over the years. I was a frame carpenter at the time and money was always thin. I (and lots of others) could go in the store on Wednesday or Thursday and 'borrow' a 12er or a case and come back and pay for it on Friday, such was the way of Bub. He was a champion of the common man. When I found out that Bub made knives I started asking about them right away and when I saw his work, I knew I wanted one, but they didn't come cheap. He had this dagger in process and I knew it was the one I wanted but again, $800 for a knife wasn't in my financial wheelhouse. Bub knew I wanted the Viking Dagger bad so he did a layaway deal for me. Once I had paid him most of the cost he put the knife together and presented it to me trusting me for the rest. When he handed it to me, he quipped with a Santa like twinkle in his eye, "bring it back when you're done playing with it and I'll sharpen it." I couldn't imagine this blade much sharper than it already was but no doubt it's possible. I tested it at a hog roast early on and when I drew the blade across a shoulder roast with almost no pressure, the meat fell away without effort! I realized that had better take care while 'playing' with my new toy. I never did get it back to him to sharpen, you always think you have time for such things. The reason I tell you all this is because hard times are on me again and I am considering selling my dagger. It would be my preference to sell it to someone who either knew Bub or have a collection of his knives to add to. I am not sure how to proceed, I have seen some of the consignment type sites but am not interested in paying someone 25% to do the typing. I have also considered auction sites but thought that posting in a forum like this might have a better chance of reaching my target demographic. Hope I am not breaking rules on my first post but my email is raykeelen@yahoo.com. If you are interested and would like to see pics, shoot me an email. Thanks for your time.

You are pretty much breaking the rules. If you become a paying member, Gold level or above, you can advertise a knife that "might" be for sale.
