My Xm-18 review...

Holy cow, Jason! You knocked that one out of the park! Rick and Rob should sticky that on the website. Excellent review my friend. . . .:thumbup::thumbup:

The only part I disagree with is the part about the strider being a close second. My SNG is no where near close to the quality of my XM's.

I own both. Striders are nice knives but cannot come close to competing in Fit and Finish or durability. It's not that the Striders are bad, it's just that the Hinderer's are that good.

Thanks Senor, I have an older strider that the F&F is pretty good on. I bought it used so it may have had some work done. It's just a little big for my tastes and there are a couple of rough edges that irritate a bit when trying to retrieve stuff out of my pockets. So I really don't carry it that much. I just can't bring myself to sell it though; must be the knife nut in me. I will agree with you though, The XM-18 IS just that good.

Fantastic review! I've been sitting on the fence about which knife to give my father for Christmas, between a Sebenza, Strider and a Hinderer for a while now and this pretty much sealed it. You covered everything I needed to know. Thank you for taking the time to post this :)

Great review Jason. Nice format and very nice photos. Rick and Rob should let you use and review all of their knives. I look forward to more reviews when you feel the need. I've been lucky enough find a nice used XM-18 for a good price on Blade Forums, but I swear I sometimes think I should go train to be an EMT just to be able to order direct (and for the skills of course). Thank you sir...the only problem with the idea of letting me review knives is that I might become sentimental and want to give them a good home, MY HOME.. HA!

Job well done. Amazing stills. If I could love mine more, I would. ;)
This is one of the very few knives I know I will NEVER sell. Also one of the very few that transcends the hype, instead of succumbing to it.
Keep up the good work.

Nice review and pics. I'd like to commend you on your strong will power for not carrying at work. If I were pulling from a drawer with Spydies and an XM-18, I wouldn't have the resolve to grab anything but the 18:D

Thanks, Actually everyday before work every day when I pick up my XM-18, I have to pull an old Jedi mind trick on myself:

Then I can put the Spydies in my pocket :)

He's right Jason. You must have an iron will. I carry my non-flipper every day on duty. Been doing it since the day it arrived. If someting else comes along it rides shotgun in the other pocket.

That was a good read, well organized and thought out, plus excellent picture quality. Thank you so much.
