Finally I got some time to snap a few pics of my win. I got lucky and scored in the first lottery, I picked the 3" XM-18 in working finish. Then Rob hooked me up with some Ti bling the week after.

Thank you Rick, Rob, and rest of the crew.

Like the working finish. Stonewashed or satin are my favorites, but the working finish screams USE ME!

And I am so lusting after a Spearpoint. Nice stuff.

Thank you everyone. I prefer the satin finish but the working finish has grown on me. It's my main EDC now, hasn't left my pocket since I got it.

Help me out a bit. Is that textured scale on the 3" Spearpoint Grey G10 or blasted Ti? Difficult to tell by the photos, but I do notice what appears to be a Ti liner inside the scale. That would / should not be necessary if the textured scale were Ti.

It's not G10, Ti scales in working finish is what Rob called it.

She is going to look very cool as you use her. Working finish is not the top tier favorite of everyone, but who cares?
If you like, it's a win.
I think it's a rugged looking little knife that will show some battle scars from use, there is nothing wrong with that. And I am loving me some spearpoint grind right now.

I'm still curious about what looks to be a Ti liner under that textured Ti scale. Is it required on that knife, in this case? On my 24, the liner was swapped for the Ti scale.

The liner was there and I thought it's needed so I just kept it there.

The liner is not needed under the Ti side on any of the three versions.

Good to know.

You should take the liner out, it'll be much better looking without it. The new scale should e the same thickness as the frame side. Thanks for the pics!
