I have been meaning to take pics and get them posted, but you know how it goes. Well after receiving many PM's from other forum members asking where the pics are, I made it a point today to take pics of my XM's

All were purchased from Great Forum Members and I cant thank them enough for everything, the excellent communication, and the friendship !!!

A 3.5" XM-18 Non-Flipper - To me, its Hinderers version of a Sebenza with Thumbstud Opening

A 3" XM-18 Orange Flipper - Great For EDC
A 3.5" XM-18 Black Flipper - Best All Around
A 4" XM-24 Orange Flipper - HUGE Folder ( A Folding Fixed Blade If You Will )

( Thought you guys would like a nice side by side comparrison shots )

And for those of you that have asked: I like the flippers the best. Not only as an opening device, but mainly since it doubles as a guard and keeps your hand in place and from sliding onto the blade during heavy use. With the flipper, you have two ways to open the knife, Thumbstuds and Flipper, while with the Non-Flipper, you only have one. This is not really a big deal, but there may be times when your holding something in an ackward position and opening the knife with the flipper is what works best. Just my thoughts is all !!!

I want so badly to put an orange scale ( which I have ) on the black 3.5", but its SOOO Super Smooth, I am going to just leave it be. Looks like down the road, I will just have to get another to have an orange Trio.

I am by no means RICH, especially with my wife losing her job at the end of the year and me probably a short time after that. These were purchased by simply selling/trading Many other knives to get them, mainly my beloved CRK.

Enjoy !!!

Thank you for these pictures, very nice. XMs are great knives, that XM-24 is a beast:eek:

awesome Nyef!!! looks good, congrats on these beauties :D
Good luck with the situation at home man

as for the orange scales: why not put it on there. If it's smooth now, it'll still be smooth with a new scale. Assembly/disassembly won't be a problem for a guy like you!

Nice collection. I've had both a 3" and 3.5", but currently only own the 3". To be honest, I'm not sure what size I like more, but think either is a great all-rounder for EDC.

Man these Rock!!! I LOVE the XM24 what a beast!!! Thanks for sharing these photo's. You have a great looking family!!

Awesome picks! I wonder if they can make a shoulder strap for the xm-24.:D The "Crocodile Dundee" folder.

Thanks for the Great Comments. I have swapped them out several times, its pretty easy, especially with the Hinderer Tool. There is just something about this one in particular that I like about it being just plain black. Though I may switch to the orange scale one of these days. Always gives me an excuse to trade for another right ??? The black xm-18 came all the way from Australia from a great forum member.

With the trade/$$ for the XM-24, it pretty much eliminated me from going to the Hinderer Outing. Oh well, maybe next year.

For those wondering why the clip on the 3" xm-18 is on the tip up position, I usually have a lanyard on this little guy ( which I took off for the photo shoot ). It lays much better in pocket with the lanyard on with the clip in this position.

My dream knives. Wow! May i know the folded length of each model? thanks.

They Are Excellent Knives, I can certainly see what the Hype is about.

The 3" XM-18 measures closed- 4 3/16" - weight - 3.5 oz.

The 3.5" XM-18 measures closed - 4 7/8" - weight - 5 oz.

The 4" Xm-24 measures closed - 5 7/16" - weight - 8 oz.

I think the 3" would probably be best for edc as its nice and small and sheople friendly. I can certainly see why this is the hardest model to find. Aprox. the same size as the small sebenza, only its is more comfortable as its countoured. I might add that the small sebenza is just a little small for me. But even though the 3" xm is the aprox. the same length, it fits my hand much better, I believe its due to the mentioned countour of the handle.

I think the 3.5" is really the best all around size that will cover most knife needs. Its the aprox. the same length as a large sebenza, so for those like a large sebenza, this is the one for you. The grip is just more comfortable due to the countour.

The 4" is just a huge folder. Not only in length, but in width. The scales, liners and blade are huge and thick and very heavy duty. I think this model will only appeal to those that like large folders like the SMF, ZT301, etc. And this is even bigger than them. I consider the xm-24 a true "folding fixed blade".

Looking good brother- I feel like I'm looking at a child I gave up for adoption when I look at those pics! Enjoy.

shzaam!!!! i have a 3.5 and an xm24. i thought my collection was cool. i was clearly outgunned.
