My ZT family keeps growing

Zero Tolerance keeps coming out with fantastic knives. At first, I wasn't too interested in the brand. I bought a 0300 and a 0350 when they came out, but didn't use them often. Then I took the 0300 on a couple of trips and it began to grow on me in spite of it's bulk. Later on came the 0562 and the 0550 (probably my favourite ZT), which I bought to try out Hinderer designs. Somehow a 0200 followed me home, too. Anyway, I began really getting into the brand.

When I saw the 0801 and 0770CF I knew I needed them, but it took months to actually get them into my country. Tonight they're finally in my hands and I've got to say I really, really like them.

The 0770CF is so light that I can carry it in all my pants (my other ZTs are a bit too heavy or thick for some of my thinner trousers) and the blade is quite a bit thinner than my other ZTs. They did a great job with this knife, it fills a niche in the ZT line up.

The 0801 is more along the lines of "traditional" ZTs: a tough titanium framelock flipper. However, it's different enough from the 0300, 0560, 0550, etc. to be worth having. The size is perfect, handle ergos are amazing and the blade shape is very practical. It flips smoothly, too.

Fit and finish on both is quite good, no blemishes that I could see so far.

I know this is old news to you guys in the US, but I've been waiting for these knives for months and my girlfriend just doesn't seem to share my enthusiasm.

Congrats on your new ZTs - those are nice choices. The Rexford design is just awesome - I love it. I also have a 770CF due in tomorrow and I can't wait.

So far, my only collectable knives which I didn't end up selling are ZTs... 0561 + 0170.

Congrats, brother! If you're looking to share your excitement, you came to the right place

The 0801 is an outstanding knife! I love the quality and heft of the titanium. It's the best production flipper out there.

And the 0770CF has been on my radar for quite some time now. I definitely need to pick one of those up. I have to ask, are you planning to keep it assisted?

I've been thinking about de-assisting the 0770CF. Assisted openers don't do much for me, I prefer manual knives or push button autos. However, I've never taken the torsion bar out of a ZT, so I want to do a little research before breaking out the torx drivers (I've got a unique talent to assemble things wrong).

Most of the I've read about that deassisted the 0770 did not like it afterward.

I left mine assisted, but then again I like assisted knives as well as unassisted ones. Variety is the spice of life!

My zt collection so far includes the 0561, 0562, and 0562 cf.

The 0801 and 077cf are intriguing. On the fence with these; hard to justify what I don't need.

I don't have any ZT's, and I keep saying I don't need one, (redundant size, heavy, etc), but threads like these keep testing me....

Great looking knives - congrats.

Not all of them are heavy or large. The 0770CF is very light, I think it weighs around 80 grams (3oz or so).

0350....0200...0560...0550....0801... must somehow resist 0770CF but its only a matter of time...

I feel ya! I am in knife timeout for the moment because of guns...they go hand in hand anyway, but I still have an 0200, 0550, a 0350M390 a couple 0560CBCF's and a 0777BLK. Wished I snagged a 0801CF before the lockdown though.

Not that much of a problem though. ZT just keeps making winners every year. There will be more.

Yeah mine sucked de assisted, so I had to put it back in. Oh well

Congratulations Francis!! Those are two great looking ZT's. Both are on my short list to by picked up as soon as funds are available. As I'm sure you are finding out they are addictive. My addiction started out with the little 0350 at the bottom. Since then it's been growing by leaps and bounds.

Congrats, Francis! I started out with a 0350. Then came a 0301, followed by a 0551. Last week I finally broke down and bought a 0801 and gave one to my best friend for his 60th birthday. Both of us were completely blown away by that incredible knife.

I can definitely see a 0770CF and/or a 0562CF in my future.
