Has anyone held or used the new Myerco Maxx-Q and/or the Shockwave. If so what type of quality are they? Thanks:)

I have one of the Meyerco Bolt-Action knives. I like the lock, so I bought it. My biggest gripe is the blade steel (CHEAP), but otherwise it is well made considering the price.

I think Meyerco has built a number of knives for other companies. I know they did for Gerber, at least.

Meyerco does Blackie Collins knives. He designed the original Bolt Action for Gerber. My first modern knife. No thumbstud or disc or hole but I could open it one-handed with pressure against the blade, it rotated out so smoothly. Never have found out what steel but it worked very well. I still have one (Gerber).

Always helps when talking about new knives to provide a link. Also to spell the name right. :)

Meyerco Maxx-Q is a copy of the Darrel Ralph gunhammer style. Probably with his approval, since he did design the 18-Xray for them.

I can't find a picture of the Shockwave.

I saw the Meyerco (:)) Shock Wave in the inside back cover of a Knife magazine, an add for Meyerco. Evidently the Shock Wave has a combination of Micarta and G-10 for the handles. I will probably call Meyerco tomorrow to get more info on the knives since I do not see them on Meyerco's web site.

My first "one hander" was a Meyerco Strut n Cut Rascal by Blackie Collins. It has a spring loaded AO and a thumb bolt lock. The blade is AUS8A. I used to carry it all the time as it is so easy to use. These days it has a spot in the drawer.

I also have a Myerco machette. It is stainless, and it has given me good service in the field.
