Myers Sword

I need help identifing the maker of a small sword. "MYERS" stamped on it. It measures 21 1/2" overall, blade is 15 1/2" long and tapers to a fine point. Base 1 1/2" wide and 1/4" thick. It has a wooden handle, silver pummel and guard with a wooden sheath.
