Can anyone tell me what buck knife this is? I thought it may be from the 500 series but its not. It looks similar to the buck prince but it is missing the ridge that is at the bottom of the blade. I know this is a third party modified buck but i am wondering what the original buck is call?

Not sure why your pictures aren't showing. It seems perhaps you've put the image tags around the web page link...

Sorry I can't answer about the knife, but I hope this helps.

It is from the 500 series. I think it is a 501 Squire. Has the anvil stamp, so no model number.

was about to say it looks like my old 503, however it seems to have been modified into an auto or multi lock? I know there are a few kits to modify 110's into autos, always wanted one of those in the bg-42.

not to thread jack but what kind of guitar is that in the reflection of the bottom bolster in the second pic? cant tell, but it looks like a strat

Thanks for the help but im not so sure its a 501 or a 503. If you look at the base of the blade right were the edge ends you will notice it is flat. On most buck including the 501 503 there is a ridge right there. Also, the buck prince looks very similar to this knife but there is that ridge. PS. that is a fender dobro-guitar. Currently I use it as a guitar.

That one is definitely one of the 500-series that has been modified. It isn't unlikely that the blade has been reshaped (probably to accommodate that button lock mechanism). Is it an automatic? If so, the blade's kick has probably been ground down to allow for the firing spring.

yeah just googled the 50x series and the ricasso has a kick, or a protruding flat area to keep the blade from contacting the spring. If someone were to grind that off it would look just like this one
