Mysterious pebble found with Krein Grasshopper?

Just got my Grasshopper in the mail, gorgeous little knife...then I notice something odd in the small hole that detents the sheath. Looked like a rubber insert until I looked closely, realized it was a perfectly round, matte black pebble. I managed to push it out without scratching the ti-finish, sitting here at my desk examining this oddity. The knife was purchased new, the three layers of packaging is all original, but there is a half-globe shaped little pebble with no sharp edges inserted in the hole for some reason. I'm not ticked or looking for answers from the manufacturer, I'm just really, really curious how that happened. I'm simply amused by such an odd thing to find with a production knife, can't imagine how it would even get into the assembly line, let alone inserted into such a precise little hole on a small knife before being packaged. Gave me a chuckle.

Probably a polishing stone from a tumbling polisher. You throw metal you want to polish into a tub that shakes. Inside the tub are polishing stones which will gently take away any burrs or sharp edges.
