On my way to Pokhara,I met a couple of villager people who had stopped for lunch on their way to Katmandu. Everybody on this trail stops at this site to get a hot lunch of rice and beans before continuing on.

The couple needed a little expense money to continue their trip and were selling a beautiful, but very useful knife. It was so beautiful I bought it. This knife is a one-of-a-kind, well made blade with intricate metal detail on the scabbard.

The couple didn't know specifically who made the knife, but thought it was well handmade knife by a mysterious craftsman in a village along a trail someplace.

That WWII looks to be really nice. Congrats to the lucky shark. The craftsman ship reminds me of Bura or Kessar.

A wonderful find Yangdu!
That is why we trust your eyes and experience on all matters khukuri.

It would've been nice to be able to find that Kami and possibly offer him a job at the shop,as i think his work is on par.

too bad i'm such a poor slob,or that one would've been gone upon you posting it.

Very Neat!!
Thanks Much, Yangdu, for the account of how it came to You.....
I Really enjoy hearing about that part of the world.
The closest I came to that part of the world was when My M.D. Mother went to Pakistan for the WHO and Loma Linda University to teach Health Education, Public Health and to run the Medical Clinic there at the Education Center.
I was a teenager then, but I still remember the experience well.
Never did get a chance to go to Nepal/Tibet, but Always wanted to.
