I need to figure out where that river is in the movie. If there does indeed exist a river of flowing 130 degree oil to quench in, I am moving there!

Theoretically it is possible to make a knife entirely in the wilderness with nothing more then wood, water and steel. You would have to have a hammer of some kind (could be another piece of steel for example) to hammer out the shape though, and something to sharpen it on plus obviously a flat metal or stone surface to pound it out on.

For a knife fight that short though I think it would be easier to just sharpen a 5 foot stick or two and make stabbing spears.
