Mystery axe head (WTIH PICTURES THIS TIME) :D

well i posted a thread a little while ago about a mystery axe head i had found. i have now hung the head, and am going to post pictures to see what anyone knows about it. i know its a boys axe, and it has some flaws in the face, but i like it, it gives it character. i also tried as best i could to get a photo of the a20 stamping i mentioned in my last post

That matches the stamping I have on some true temper heads; same font, different numbers. I'd bet on it... Does it have some ridges on the inside of the eye?

yeah it has four ridges on the inside of the eye. so is it an ames true temper or a kelly works?

it is an old Kelly Woodslaher most likely, as I stated in another thread. Any red paint on it at all?

no not anymore paint on it. i wire brushed it off. i thought it was probably rust, when i found it it had a layer of what i though to be rust that went to the cutting edge. i guess it could have been paint after all.

Nice little axe, congrats. It sure looks like there's some red paint remnants on there to me.

no i dont think there is any red paint left. that was probably a reflection from the walls and camera flash
