Found this old guy when I was cleaning up my property, any ideas what it is? Is it likely worth cleaning up?

Thanks,
Josh
It's a single bevel Carpenters hewing hatchet in good shape and yes I'd say it's worth cleaning up.

Of course it's rusty and has some dings and niks in the edge, but it probably wasn't used all that much ( enough to receive some edge damage of course ) before it's handle broke and it was left to rust.

Get yourself a wire cup brush on an angle grinder and use some care to remove the rust, you'll likely reveal a stamp on it somewhere.
