They were around 1968-73/74, then they got replaced by the Ron Lake inspired Folding Sportsman line. They are sometimes called "Lamb folding hunters" by collectors because of Thomas Lamb, who developed the "Lamb handle" shape.
The knife was popular in Japan because it was featured in a Manga (comic) series. They even had Sakai, and Imai copy it when they couldn't get originals anymore.

I can't remember it, but it's somewhat mentioned here, post #4 -Don't often see those in decent condition. I've seen a lot of those for sale that were in terrible shape . Is it M2 or 440C ?
