Found this at a local antique mall. It bears zero markings of any kind. No rust, no nicks, dents, smudges, or overstrikes. The hang is clean and tight with perfect grain in the haft. The fawn's foot is two dimensional, with no flare out to the sides. The haft is a bit chunky, but I could enjoy using it as it is. There are no signs of any glue residue from a paper label. Who made it and where?!

It measures 13 1/4" overall with a5 5/8" long head and a 3" bit. I'd appreciate any info you might have about this little jewel. Thanks, T-A

It's definitely a pretty recent modern hatchet and probably an inexpensive import because it's unmarked.
The narrow head reminds me of a a current Marbles which are made by Imicasa, they use the round steel wedge, and the finish looks like what I've seen on the regular Imicasa hatchets but looking on Google I couldn't turn up any hatchets with the Imicasa brand on them.

That's a good guess. It also reminds me of the new Made in Mexico Collins hatchets. And you can never rule out China these days.
