mystery Imperial Electricians knife

I got this in a box of crap at an aution a while back. It was the stamped bolster where it is integrated into the handle with a plastic coating molded over it. After a little tinkering I had bolsters and no handles. I handled it in an unknown (to you) material, can you guess what it is?

Some type of bark or wood?

Anyway, you're getting pretty good at sprucing up these older finds, and saving the old guys. :thumbup: :thumbup:

yes, it's bark. What I did was shave the bark off with a thin bit of wood attached off on the bandsaw, then I did the usual epoxy, true up the edges and finish work. I thought it was different, incase you were wondering I used good o'l hickory.

actually I rubbed in superglue, then lightly went over that with some 0000 steel wool and buffed it, I think it turned out O.K Bill, "old hickory" I like it just make sure people don't confuse it with the butcher knives
