I have a single blade folding knife. "Kenneth Reid" is inscribed on blade. I searched the internet and only find reference to belt buckles, does anybody know anything about this knife? Thanks Brad

I have a photo ready just like I would email, but the quick reply is asking for an url and I don't have one. is there another way? Brad

You need to upload the photo to a website. http://www.imageshack.us has free photo hosting with no sign up necessary.

Just click the "Browse" button, select the image, and click "host it!"

Then copy the text out of the "Forums" box and paste it here.

This is a photo of the Kenneth Reid folding knife. It measure 5" open and 2 7/8" closed.
Hope this works, thanks enderwiggin, Brad

I wish I could help...nothing I've seen or heard of...

Looks good, though!

Edit: my search skills aren't any better: he's from Albuquerque, worked or works with brass, wood, and turquoise among other materials on primarily belt buckles...various examples available at auctions or on other sites...didn't see a mention of any knives...

I want to thank you all for your help with this little knife. I found this knife at the bottom of the tool box I use for picture framing. With my growing respect for custom and hand made knives I am thinking this one may be better appreciated by someone who collects knives. It may be rare as I have not been able to find any reference to Kenneth Reid knives. Description of the Kenneth Reid folding knife; It measure 5" open and 2.875" closed. The liner is brass, with a dark hardwood (looks like walnut) cover inlaid with turquoise and steel etched with a Pacific NW Coast Indian wale or fish design. The single blade is marked “Japan” on one side and the tang is marked “Kenneth Reid”. There are very slight scuffs on blade from opening and body from handling. The blade is very sharp and does not show any signs of sharpening. Brad

One last note, I went ahead and put this knife on ebay if anyone is interested.
Brad

I have one also, only difference is mine has a dinasour inscribed on it. Was bought in Albequerqe back in the 90's as a gift. It seems he's very popular in the southwest. Don't know much more, but I'd never part with it. Wish I knew how to get another
