Thought Id show some guys how I have basically been using my CC each time out for a day hike. Im not carrying a terrible amount but what I love about the CC is that I would be maxing out my Kifaru Xray with what just made a dent in the CC. All Items are easily accessed individually if needed.

Just a shot showing how I use the day pack lid to hold all quick access items. Like 1 Liter of water, snacks, hat, handkerchief for sweat, binos, whatever else you need to get to easily.

On one side long pocket I stuffed my rain jacket. Calling for storms today later.

In the small front zipper pocket I have been keeping some water proof bags and a couple glow sticks.

Main "Day Pack" area I have been keeping my , leatherman, fixed blade, handy wipes, 2 liters of water, small first aid kit, and in a waterproof bag my batteries, firesteel, lighter, sharpening steel, paracord and pocket knife.

In the other long pocket is my hikers water filter. Just dont like the idea of leaving home with no easy long term way to clean water... if I run dry.

In between the 2 long pockets I slip in another liter of water or whatever else I have a hankering to slip in. Yes I have 3 liters of water :)

In the belt pockets I have an old GPS, sunglasses and trail marking tape.

Nice review Brian.

The first pic of the lid is that something you put on there as an add on or does it normally come a different color from the main pack body?

I bought the lid and flip top box on the belt off of a forum for like 30% off of new price. When I ordered my CC it would have been like 3 months to get one in Foliage to match so I went with the Coyote and said screw it. Now that its miss matched I actually like it that way.

That looks like a pretty cool pack and the way the design is has got me to thinking I may need another pack lol.

Would you post a pic of your pack on your back, please?

Thanks
Bryan

I don't have any pics on my back. Google mystery ranch crew cab. There are tons of pics of people wearing them.

Nice pack, i have a MR XXX Trance that i use for long distance backpacking in the Bob Marshall and Scapegoat wilderness'. Dana really knows how to make a pack.

on the right there is three tabs, basic specs and in action. The in action tab is videos, there is two there wearing your pack and fitting your pack that show exactly how to adjust it to suit (they have a superior harness adjustment system) and how it looks on your back. I'm jonesing for one sooo bad but I gotta wait until all my other stuff comes in so I don't get caught with $$ short
