So Im about to invest in a pack here- EDC for a day is books, student clothes, tradeseman clothes, gym stuff. Its alot so I figured I'll be good with a 3 day pack. As well I figure I can buy 1 pack and use it for excursions as well, Im tired of lugging my "backpacking" pack for 2 day trips.

Im torn between the mystery ranch dragonslayer or 3 day assault pack(im willing to spend the $$ because Ill use it every day)

and the camelbak motherlode ( cheaper, same capacity as the dragonslayer)

I just wanna know is that extra $$ worth it between the mystery ranch offerings and the camelbaks? Do they carry alot better?

I have 2 MR packs and had a Camelbak before. The 2 brands are not in the same leage!! If it's EDC go for the 3Day. I'm using a Sweet Pea right now for my vacation pack and it's large enough to do but not so large it's overbearing. I'd think the Dragon Slayer wouldn't work as an EDC role. I'd recommend the Sweet Pea for a lighter weight same size as 3Day Pack. The outside Stuff It flap comes in handy and you would only need a small organizer pouch to take the place of some of the 3Days internal organization. If your mainly wanting a camping pack go for the dragon slayer but if it's 85% EDC go for the Sweet Pea / 3 Day Size.

The trizip really makes filling up the pack easy. See the unpacking pics
