I cannot find this one in any of the catalog pages on the wonderful Schrade Collectors site. It is shown with a 787 single spring muskrat for comparison. They are both single springs. I believe it is a greenish bone, but I could be surprised with some type of Delrin. I don't think so. There is a relieved cut out for the nail nick of the spey blade, on the pile side, which is not very clear here. There is no pattern number, and, obviously, no shield. The closest I could find was a #761 in the 1954 SW catalog, but it is not close enough. Help, anyone? Thanks!

Not positive, my best guess is, is it possibly a rework, that second scan has a hint if blade repin? could be wrong, but I thought the Swinden key was used therefore making a blind pin? Hopefully folks w/ more knowledge will chime in here or maybe a repost over in Benard Levines forum could shed some more Light!?

The only knife with a clip and a spey I can find in the catalogs is a Schrade Cut Co, in catalog E, ca.1926. It is a square bolstered knife 4" long, single spring. The size and shape are like your Muskrat handle pattern. Some patterns carried over into the Schrade Walden period, but yours may be Walden period only (unless it is a rework??).
If I interpret your enlargement correctly, your mystery knife is 4 1/16" or 4 1/8" long??
Can't find one similar- - yet!!

The muskrat goes about 3.93 in my caliper and the other one goes about 3.98 inches.

It's a little longer than the muskrat, which is listed at 4" I believe, so I just interpolated it.
Thanks for the precise measurements. I hope someone comes up with more info!

I think this would have made a nice little knife for the purse of the girlfriend of a craftsman at the Schrade factory (hint).

I think that is a cool knife. I'd really like it if it was a pen instead of a spey blade. Single spring knives always catch my attention.
