I E-Mailed the seller about the possibility of the knuckle guard/wire cutter lying around somewhere, and the following is what he returned:

Mike, I got that knife straight from jerry back in the
early 90's. I assumed it was like any other sh1. Jerry
told me it was the last of a special run for a SWAT
team in California and that one was left over. Its
been in storage ever since. Is it not what you wanted?

I have replied that it is not what I was expecting but that I am happy with it. :D
 
Nice catch. If I were you I would start bugging Jerry about an old attachment laying around!:)
