N690 or D2?

If used to cut cardboard boxes open for several hours a day. Which would retain edge for longer?

Well heat treated D2, I do really like N690 though.

Cutting carboard boxes, both blades with an optimal heat treat,
D2 will hold an edge longer without a doubt.
But I'm a big fan of N690.

I think D2 is a awesome steel all-around, I don't have any knives in N690 though.
